Motorman Fatally Stricken at Controls of a G Train →
This is scary but it also means that there is, in fact, a G train running somewhere.

I took a very short video last night of a practically deserted and blizzardy Madison Square. This was about 10:30pm, it kept snowing pretty much all night.
Am I about the size of a mini-pony?
– My roommate, again.
The naked city.
I just walked past a guy selling books on the street. His titles were numerous but prominently displayed was the literary classic “Homo Thug II.”
When there's trouble, you call DW.
Tuesday was my birthday and I woke up to this sign on the floor in front of my bedroom:
I then walked over to our kitchen table and found this:
So naturally I just turned it over.
Then I saw another piece of paper out in our living room.
So I did a little hokey pokey. Alone, in my apartment. And I turned it over.
Then I laughed a lot. I continued laughing until I found the...

– My roommate, totally seriously.

Um, I’m almost regretting the fact that I’ve already made Valentine’s Day plans. It’s happening in Indianapolis too, Indiana people. You know you want to.
I am confused as to why Tumblr posts portrait pictures as landscape and why it won’t let me change the rotation later. Sucks.

Holy crap.
It’s in the low 30’s here in NYC right now. Tomorrow I am headed to Ithaca where it is currently -7 with the windchill. Ouch.

I wonder how many blogs are comprised mostly of posts, several months apart, about how they are sorry (mostly sorry to no one) for not writing more and they are now making a commitment to blogging more often.
Anyway, I need to blog more. I blame Twitter. There’s an episode of Scrubs where Dr. Cox asks a character played by Molly Shannon if she’s ever had a thought that she...
Cellphone City #2
More random phone pictures of or about New York City.
The Empire State Building on a misty October evening in midtown.
What? Coffee cups full of ranch and marinara? Oh Bel Aire Diner, you crazy!
Halloween’s aftermath. A metaphor for something, I’m sure.
Purty Kettle chips colors.
New Orleans jazz band in subway. Excellent.
I saw a basketball game from the second row...

Cellphone City #1
I have been walking around the city randomly taking pictures with my phone over the last few weeks. Here’s the first installment of my cellphone picture adventures.
A church somewhere in Manhattan which I cannot remember.
Madison Square.
Street market near Madison Square Park.
Madison Square Park tree.
Madison Square has Shake Shack, WiFi, and a dog park. Awesome.

One Down
I made it through the first week of class. It was really interesting and honestly, not as much review as I thought I would be doing. This first class is just about the basics and physics of audio, a lot of which is old hat for me, but it’s also delving a lot deeper into the physics and theories than I had ever gone before. Among the things I’ve learned this weekend is the fact that...

Skyscrapers... Everything.
After only a day as a semi-official New York City resident, I realized that this city is going to provide too many adventures and entertainment for me to not collect & share them on the internet in some form. So follow if you are at all interested, I’m going to keep the personal day-to-day dribble here in this blog, while maintaining my Twitter feed and, though it hardly gets used, I...
